This is Aston Villa's 1997–98 Reebok home shirt: claret body with light blue sleeves, the lion crest on the left chest and Reebok on the right, with Ugo Ehiogu's name among the familiar defensive names of this era. It belongs to John Gregory's competitive Villa side at Villa Park as the club mixed European nights with Premier League ambition. Dwight Yorke, Gareth Southgate, Stan Collymore and Paul Merson wore this strip before Yorke's move to Manchester United — a sharp late-90s Midlands home.
