When it resets: Each day's puzzle is tied to UK time (Europe/London). A new kit goes live at midnight UK time — the countdown on your result screen shows exactly when the next puzzle is available, wherever you are in the world.
The puzzle: Each day there is one shirt from a club from the 25/26 season list (England, Scotland, Spain, Germany, France, Italy and Holland). You need the correct club and any year that kit was worn in its season (e.g. 1991, 1992, or 1993 for a 1991–1993 kit).
The grid: The kit starts hidden behind sixteen tiles (numbered 1–16 left-to-right, top-to-bottom). Tap Reveal to reveal a square.
Guessing: After each reveal, you are asked for your team and year. Submit a club, a year, or both — leave a field blank to skip it for that round. If the club is right or a year in range is right, that part locks—you only need the other from then on.
Year hint: Some kits include a clue for the year. During a guess, tap Use hint next to the year field — once per game, and it costs 3 points from your final score.
Winning & losing:Solve both before you run out of tiles. If all sixteen squares are uncovered and you still don't have both correct, that day counts as a loss.
Scoring: Team and year score separately based on which reveal you first get each right — 16 points on the 1st go, 15 on the 2nd, down to 1 on the 16th (32 points max). Using the year hint costs 3 points.
Finished for the day:Whether you win or lose, don't forget to use the Share or Copy message to share your result on social media! You can't replay today's puzzle — check the countdown for when the next kit goes live at UK midnight.
History: Finished games are saved on this device — see History in the menu. Sign in to sync your runs across phones and browsers. Privacy & terms explains what is stored. By using KitTok and starting a game, you accept that policy.
Sign in: Tap Sign in in the header and enter your email. We send a passwordless magic link — no password to remember. Open the link on the device you want to use and your history will merge with anything already saved there.
Profile: After signing in, choose a display name (required on first sign-in). Open the person icon in the header to edit your name or sign out. Your email is private — only your display name appears on the weekly leaderboard.
Weekly leaderboard: The globe icon shows a global ranking each week (Monday–Sunday, UK time). Sort by total win points, perfect games, or your current win streak within the week. You need to be signed in, have a display name, and sync your results to appear.
Friends leagues: From your profile, open My leagues to create a private league or join one with an invite link. Share the link with mates — they must sign in to join. League scores count from when the league was created; new members only contribute from their join date.
