This is Chelsea's 1987–89 Umbro home shirt: royal blue with white trim, the lion crest on the left chest and Umbro on the right, with the central sponsor in bold white lettering across the front. It belongs to a transitional Stamford Bridge era before the modern Chelsea revolution. Kerry Dixon, Pat Nevin, Gordon Durie and Nigel Spackman were familiar names in this strip under managers Bobby Campbell and Ian Porterfield — a classic late-80s west London home.
