This is Manchester City's 1997–99 Kappa home shirt: classic sky blue with a ribbed navy-and-white V-neck collar and a maroon triangular insert at the base bearing M.C.F.C. Navy shoulder stripes carry repeating white Kappa Omini logos down the sleeves, with the eagle crest on the left chest, Kappa on the right, and brother in bold white across the front. A Kappa repeat band finishes the hem. It belongs to City's late-90s yo-yo years as the club pushed to re-establish itself. Shaun Goater, Paul Dickov and Georgi Kinkladze were the cult heroes in this strip under Frank Clark and then Joe Royle, with Nicky Weaver and Gerard Whelan among the regulars — a distinctive Kappa-era sky blue look from a transitional spell at Maine Road.
